Creating a New Event

1a) Choose "New Event..." from the File menu

1b) Choose a destination for the event file.




Adding a Date to an Event

2a) Click and hold the mouse button down on the Add button in the upper left corner of the Event Window and select "Date" from the menu that pops up.

Note: If the Dates list has the focus, you can simply click on the Add button.

2b) A dialog will pop up (or on OS X, a sheet will slide out), with fields for the month, day, and year. Enter in the appropriate values and click OK.

Note: If you make a mistake and notice after closing the dialog, you can edit the date by double clicking on the date in the Dates list in the Event Window.




Adding a Session to a Date

3a) Click and hold the mouse button down on the Add button in the upper left corner of the Event Window and select "Session" from the menu that pops up.

Note: If the Sessions list has the focus (as shown in the picture on the right), you can simply click on the Add button.

3b) A dialog will pop up (or on OS X, a sheet will slide out), with a field for you to enter a session name. You can enter in your own, or select one from the popup menu in the upper right corner of the dialog. After choosing a session name, click OK.

Note: If you make a mistake or want to change the session name after closing the dialog, you can edit it by double clicking on the session name in the Sessions list in the Event Window.




Adding a Run to a Session

3a) Click and hold the mouse button down on the Add button in the upper left corner of the Event Window and select "Run" from the menu that pops up. A run, with an automatically assigned run number, is added to the list and the corresponding run window opens. To open the window again later, select the run in the list and press Enter or Return, or double click it.

Note: If the Runs list has the focus, you can simply click on the Add button.
