Freaky Trash Manager manages files and folders inside of your user trash can and virtual trash folders which you select by deleting them based on rules.

Since nothing ever compares to seeing the real deal, check out the screenshots below and download Freaky Trash Manager to try it out for yourself.

The Stacked Blocks with Icons view shows files as if they were "dropped" into the trash can. Files that have been in the trash longer appear at the bottom of the view while newer files are at the top. Smaller files even fall through gaps between larger files to compact the view and simulate a real trash can.

The Stacked Blocks without Icons view shows files in the same manner as the icons view but instead of drawing each file's icon, it displays the icon only when the file is selected or the mouse hovers over it. Although Freaky Trash Manager is highly optimized, drawing colored blocks rather than icons is slightly faster. If you have hundreds and hundreds of files in a trash folder and are running on a slower machine, this option could provide a noticeable speed improvement.

The File List view displays files in a typical list. Files are displayed in the order in which they were trashed (older items at the bottom, newer items at the top), but the list view makes it a bit easier to find the files for some users.

Like all of the views, you can easily drag files from the File List view and drop them anywhere in the Finder. This feature makes it extremely easy to move files from the trash to save them from certain doom.

This last view, the Color Strips view, represents files as a series of blocks strung together. While the Stacked Blocks view's file block sizes are dependent on the size of the file, the minimum and maximum size limits (changable via the Preferences window of course) are not always an exact representation of the file's size. The Color Strips view always provides a one-to-one representation of the file's size according to the File Block Size setting the Preferences window.
Trash rules are available by selecting "Trash Options" from the trash list in the main window. You can pick and choose which trash rules you wish to use and modify the options available to each rule through this panel.
